In Lapland, everything blooms quickly. But even more beautifully. The sun, shining throughout the day, makes not only the flowers but also people make the most of the most beautiful time of the year. Lasse Kovanen painted Lapland plants – purple saxifrage, dwarf dogwood, branches of dwarf birch, and of course globeflowers – with watercolors onto a surface resembling the flowering forest floor of early summer.
